Mountain Range Bullet Journal Theme Inspiration
With spring creeping up on us, the emerging sun behind the mountains is a perfect bullet journal theme to keep in mind. Plus, I just LOVE how pretty and versatile mountain bullet journal themes can be.
Whether it is colorful, minimal, realistic, or made of scrap paper; every mountainous bullet journal layout brings a nice pop of creativity to your journal. Let’s get into it!
Colorful
First up, we have my personal favorite- colorful! Well… my current favorite (my “favorite” changes every month, LOL). Colorful mountain ranges bring an inspirational and cheerful vibe to your bullet journal. Mountains already serve as a symbolic reminder of the ups and downs of life, so the pop of color brings some optimism to those ups and downs.
Blue Mountain Range
I love this blue mountain range theme idea. I looked everywhere and it is the only blue theme I have found! It is very unique. I especially love the trees at the bottom.
Sunny Mountain Range
These mountains are pretty shades of pink with a bright sun emerging from behind them. This theme is created with a unique yet simple art style using negative space and loose lines.
Minimalistic Mountain Spreads
Minimalistic journals have been increasing in popularity lately, and these little spreads are a god way to keep some creativity in your minimal journal… I wish I though of them when I was making a minimalistic journal! These themes are similar to the realistic ones, except they are made with less detail. Since they are mostly black and white, they can provide your journal with an elegant feel.
Nighttime Camping
I love how this minimalistic spread still has some details- like an easy to draw tent and doodle-trees. And it is so cute to include the moon and the stars! If I were a camper, I would totally include this in my spread… unfortunately I am more of a cabin type of gal.
Nature and Mountains
Yet another detailed but still minimalistic spread! The addition of the beautiful and delicate flowers make this spread one of my favorites. This spread shows a great way to include your theme in your weekly spreads.
Pop of Blue
The first time I saw this one, I did not even notice the blue details! I saved it because of how crisp, clean, and minimal it looks… it wasn’t until my second time around that I noticed the blue. This theme idea incorporated color into its minimalism in the best way.
Background Mountains
Here is another great way to keep up with your theme in your weekly spreads! The mountains at the top help keep this spread minimal and non-cluttered… gotta love a clean spread!
Realistic Mountain Ideas
These spreads and theme ideas are a great way to keep your journal artistic. You can add your own artistic flare to any of these ideas! They are all very detailed and unique in their own ways.
A Beautiful Night Sky
WOW! The details on this spread are amazing!! This spread is so inspiring, it gives me so many different technique ideas.
Delicate Mountains
Here is another beautiful spread from Hayley E. Frerichs! The thin MICRON pen adds so much dimension to this mountain theme. From the thin shading on the mountains to the gradient of dots, this spread is something to love.
Moon Phases
This spread is so lovely. The moon phases behind the mountains add an amazing aspect to the detailed doodle. And the mountains are created with such a nice technique.
Colorful Yet Realistic
This is the only colorful and realistic spread I could find. The different colors of sun beams really win me over on this drawing!
Geometric Themes
Now here is where we start to get funky! These next two categories of mountain themes are extremely unique and creative. First up, we have geometric themes. These mountain these use shapes and lines to create an extra creative flare to their layouts.
Geometric Mood Tracker
This spread utilizes the geometric qualities of mountains to create a fun and unique mood tracker! This is especially perfect if the rest of your months theme revolves around nature or mountains.
Time Mountain
This is such a cool way to track your day! The creator of this spread even made it so the peak of the mountain represent higher energy levels and the valleys to represent relaxing parts of her day. This is such a thoughtful way to go about time blocking,
Simple Line Mountain
This is a more minimal spread idea, but it still utilizes the geometric style. It can be a cute and unique recurring theme for your next bullet journal spreads.
Scrappy Mountains
Lastly, we have a very creative and abstract way of creating mountains. By using scraps of paper, you can create such a cool and different bullet journal spread. You can rip your scraps to make it look more rustic or keep the sharp angles of a mountain… it’s up to you! You really need to see these bujo ideas.
Rustic Mountains
This spread uses ripped brown paper to create a more rustic and natural look. I love the way this theme looks! I can just imagine how cute the rest of the month looks with the scrappy brown paper throughout the spreads.
Scrapbook Mountains
I love the use of cute patterns in these mountains. Also, the layers of different patterns really adds to the look.
Magazine Cutouts
From the looks of it, I am pretty sure that these mountains are made out of magazine scraps. I love the way we can recycle old products and make beautiful bullet journal art with them!
Alright, that wraps up al of the best mountain bullet journal theme ideas. I have been searching day and night for the perfect spread ideas to show you, so I hope you enjoyed! Let me know if you have any questions and please show me how your bullet journal turned out!
