Bullet Journal January 2022: Sketchy Florals and Loose Cursive

This months theme was mostly inspired by my color scheme, which was inspired by my new journal. I decided to go with these loose florals because I have been doodling them and found them so pretty. And obviously they matched well with my predetermined color scheme.

My last bullet journal was all minimalist themed, so I decided I wanted to go all in with this theme. Subscribe if you want to see more of my minimalist journal, I would love to share it. Anyway, I had a lot of fun creating this month, and can not wait for the next!

Cover Page

I decided to only put my design on half of the spread, I am still not really sure why. It was my original plan, but then I thought it might look better if I carried the florals over to the next page. Either way, I like the way it turned out!

As you can see here, I added little dots to give my floral design some more texture, as well as rough lines within the flowers and leaves.

For the past few months I have been deciding to not put a monthly calendar in my spreads, as I just do not get any use out of them. They are kind of a waste of space for me. But if your are someone who loves your monthly calendars, this is where I would put one.

Mood Tracker

Now since I do not use monthly calendar spreads, my next page jumps right in to my mood tracker. Sometimes I like to put my goals and tasks for the month, but I did not do that this month.

For my mood tracker this month I did more of a creative tracker instead of my normal plain graph. I fit the tracker into a floral layout, leaving a few petals blank. With the blank petals I numbered them and will continue to color them in daily, depending on my mood and the corresponding color.

For the quote on the right page, I wrote “make happiness a priority”. This quote serves two purposes: first, it marks the mood tracker page. Second, it reminds me to make happiness a priority!

Gratitude

Next up, I made my gratitude spread. Here is where I write everything I am grateful for!

Practicing daily gratitude statements, no matter how silly or little, can really have a positive impact on your life. Practicing gratitude helps you to feel more positive and optimistic emotions; when you practice gratitude in your daily life, you begin to search for the good things instead of dwelling on the negative. I really recommend trying out a gratitude spread in your next bullet journal!

Trackers

The next page I have made in my bullet journal is my trackers page. This month, I decided to make a graph for my vegetable intake and my water intake.

For water, I made a line graph. I find this to be the best way to track your water intake as it is clear and concise. For my veggies, I like to use a bar graph using x’s because I can easily add to it during the day.

Activity Tracker

The last page before my daily spreads is my activity tracker. Unfortunately I have been less active than normal, so you don’t get to see how beautiful this tracker looks all filled out.

I am sure you can probably imagine how it looks when you do multiple forms of activity in one day, with all of the different colors and patterns. You should definitely try this form of activity tracker!

Daily Spreads

For my daily spreads I made seven boxes with my micron pen, so they are very thin. I also made sure to carry over my floral theme over to my weekly/daily spreads.

I made sure to show you a picture of my blank spread and also my used spread, this way you can see how useful it is!

At the bottom of my boxes, I have little trackers: this is where I track my vegetable and water intake for the day. After I track it for the day, I move it over to my graphs- very handy!

Time Blocking

After every weekly spread, I have a time blocking spread that corresponds to that week. This way, I can see my schedule and my to-do list at the flip of a page.

I separate my time blocking in hour time blocks. I love how user friendly and pretty this time blocking spread is, and I especially love how it can fit in to my color scheme.

Expenses

I have my expenses tracker nestled into my daily spreads, just as a nice little switch up.

On the left side of the spread, I have my purchases for the month. Within my purchase tracker, I have a want or need column. This way I can keep track of how many un-needed purchases I make.

On the right side of the spread, I keep a box for my monthly bills. Under that, I have a box for my income of the month. I even have a little math equation that will show me what my net income for the month is.

Assignment Tracker

The last page I have in my January layout is my assignment tracker.

If you want to read more about assignment trackers, you can read my post about them here.

Thats the end of my January spread! Thanks for reading and I hope you got some inspiration from this post.

Until next time,
